Import/export address book. I had a lot of photos on my Motorola cell phone, and no cost effective way to get them onto my computer. Add and delete. This was just what was needed. You can upload MP3 music to your phone to use as ringtones, or upload photos to keep with you and show off. Much more. All for a one-shot low cost.
I creates duplicate contacts which I have to manually delete and the calendar information is too fouled up to read. I got this to sync my contacts from outlook to my old V3 razr motorola cell. I have used it a dozen times and it has NEVER completed a sync succesfuully. Don't waste your money on this piece of crap software. There is zero help available for the product and the online help is piss poor at best.
Made my own ringtone the first day I installed it. As a pay-as-you-go customer who bought a used Razr I am very happy to have all this extra capabilty, and the tools are so easy to use.
Motorola had the right idea, but really, really poor execution. We never got connected again. The idea of connecting your phone to your PC is appealing for many reason: backing up your contact list, transferring photos each way, loading your phone with music for mobile listening, and creating your own ringtones from your music collection or from your own quirky creations. What a shame.it could be so good. Maybe by the time our phones die those smart phones will come down in price. Then I got a new PC (Intel, XP) and that was the final straw.
Then I got a KRZR.same story, but it did work.
I bought this program from them directly, back in the days before the RAZR.
No luck.If I could get this program to work, it would be a great incentive to stay with Motorola.
Why would anyone today buy a phone that couldn't connect to a PC.
Over the course of a year, sometimes late at night, when I want to tilt at windmills, I call the Phone Tools help line for another attempt at downloading a new version, trying to get our phones to connect.
It took some tweaking and many long conversations to India, but I finally had it up and running adequately.
Then my wife got a RAZR, and with even more long calls, more updates, endless connectivity issues, we got her phone connected.
Now, we're simply nursing our aging phones along, jealous of our friends with the smart phones from the "other" manufacturer with no connectivity problems.
Phone Tools.what a shame, it could have been so good.
This product was advertised to work with the Motorolakrave Zn 4. When I went throgh the installation process the program said the this program doen not support this phone. I am very disappointed with this product. It is not for all Motorala Phones
